The concept is to create a friendly living space for the elderly. The buildings offer not only typical residential functions, but also catering and recreational facilities. A restaurant, treatment and wellness rooms, relaxation rooms and general rooms for leisure activities are available for the residents. In addition, the landscaping of the plot encourages active outdoor recreation.
Building A features an elaborate functional layout of the ground floor, comprising catering, leisure, treatment and administrative/technical areas. The subsequent floors offer small 1 and 2-bedroom flats. Building B is distinguished by the different character of the ground floor and 1st floor. These consist of 1-bed rooms and a common area (kitchen and recreation space).
The rooms are designed for people requiring constant care. On the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors there are 1- and 2-room flats. An additional advantage of the ground floor rooms are the gardens, directly accessible from each room. Building C is the entrance area to the complex, connecting the two residential buildings. On the rest of the plot, parking spaces, a layout of alleys and accesses to the buildings, as well as greenery in the form of low shrubs, plants and trees have been designed.
The external appearance of the buildings has been designed in a consistent manner. Vertical divisions have been introduced on the facades, which are distinguished from each other by the finishing material. White and grey render and clinker tile (referring to the character of the neighbouring buildings) were used. The top storeys are set back from the outer walls, creating spacious terraces for the flats on this floor. The massing is complemented by balconies decorated with wrought iron balustrades.
